Chinese Outstanding Youth Video Symposium

The 13th "Video Symposium for Chinese Eminent Young Scholars" was held in Beijing, hosted by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council of China and the China Overseas Chinese Friendship Association. Video venues were set up in Fujian Province and Henan Province, Shandong Province. At the conference site, 15 outstanding young representatives of Chinese descent conducted online discussions and exchanges on topics such as "Chinese civilization in my country", "My views on the exchange of Chinese and foreign civilizations", "Telling a good Chinese story, and the presence of outstanding young people".

Ke Hongjing, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tongxin Wanxiang International Education Group and Chairman of the Quanzhou Youth Chamber of Commerce in Singapore, said that overseas Chinese youth should give play to their advantages in integrating China and the rest of the world, promote the overseas dissemination of Chinese culture based on the national conditions of the host country, tell a good story of China, and also let more new generations of Chinese descent understand China's long history and culture, current business environment, and development opportunities.

Mao Zhigang, director of the British Chinese Art Center, hopes to spread traditional Chinese culture in literary and artistic forms, "moistening things silently" to convey the beauty of Chinese culture to the people living in the country, and promoting popular understanding; Exploit the tremendous energy in Chinese historical stories in a popular way, display "China's appearance", and deepen the integration and mutual learning of civilizations.

Chen Chen, President of ITCH China Italian Culture and Art Exchange Association, said that Chinese culture should not only "go out", but also "go in", so that foreign people not only can hear and see Chinese culture, but also must listen to and understand it. "Overseas Chinese and Chinese should give full play to their own advantages, increase the opportunities for 'two-way and interactive' exchanges and collisions, and become the main force in disseminating the excellent traditional Chinese culture."

After listening to the speech of Chinese youth, Pan Yue, Director of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council, emphasized in his speech that the root of Chinese civilization is to always emphasize "inclusiveness", always pursue "openness", and always advocate "peace". Chinese youth should deeply understand the unique root of Chinese civilization, deeply understand the new era of China, and actively promote mutual learning and civil exchanges between Chinese and foreign civilizations.
